It was good, but it wasn't great - there was a great staging in there but it needed some pruning to make it that bit stronger.

For those that haven't seen it - Mike Michaels' Jaws of Death but with epic light show and 30ft tall video wall playing a video of "life flashing before his eyes" as he escaped from the most half-heartedly buckled up straight jacket ever. His intensity and performance in the escape were captivating, his dismount was brilliantly dramatic but the production around it actually distracted from the escape rather than highlighting it in the way that was clearly intended.

It's clearly the start of an epic upswing in his career though and it's worth pointing out that the people who make the most money and have the longest careers from the show are acts (like darcy) who have a strong definable hook but who don't come with the baggage of being the winner. We'll be seeing lots more of him that's for sure.
