Life--the Clock Trick?--or some Gilbreathian interweave of chance, biology and time, all proceeding to a single, if not Jungean, then alternative metaphysical/physical signpost. Mark it and it marks you and we mark it on your behalf.

(Happy Birthday greeting created by the RPG--Racherbaumer Phrase Generator).

I realize that this is not the appropriate thread to be pedantic or pedagogical, but isn't a Hierophant holy by definition?

Happy birthday Jon. I'm looking forward to another pilgrimage to the West Bank next Autumn.

Happy Birthday, Jon.

I hate it that we are all getting older faster. I blame it on Genii. A year used to take a lot longer to roll around when Bill Larsen was in charge!

Jon,

For the record, in my unpublished (pre-internet) notes dated January 22, 1994, I have a note written to you that says, “H.B. J.R.!” As you can see, the only difference between that which Matt Field published here and what I came up with then is but a simple comma between the “H.B.” and “J.R.” versus my “space.” I am not convinced his variation is adequate for Mr. Field to claim he created the greeting, particularly since the space makes said greeting cleaner and more direct versus the comma which adds a definite pause to the salutation that would not, under ordinary (and natural) circumstances, otherwise exist. However, in deference to him, I do suspect that this is a case of independent discovery particularly since, in 1994, Matt Field (or anyone for that matter) knew who the hell I was. I also suspect that—in some cases—he would wish to make that claim today.

Happy Birthday Jon!
Dustin

Happy Birthday Jon!
I loved the chat that we posted with Jon in 2009 and was very excited that I was able to recover it from the almost lost archive of our older shows. With more that 15000 downloads, it remains one of our most popular podcasts. For those of you that missed it the first and second times around, here's where you can find it. Enjoy! http://bit.ly/JRacherbaumer

I should reach out to him again soon for a followup!

BELATED REMARKS

I just checked these uplifting posts.
Thanks, everybody...

I guess being this age leads to a certain amount of dithering and doddering and downsizing? I was told by my children and grandchildren to avoid "cutting edges" and anything "topical" and "fast-breaking." Because I often stand slightly at an angle I'm still able to write SLANT and work on small manuscripts. Nevertheless, I appreciate the support and coaxing....

Thanks, again...

Onward...
