So What Did You All Get From Santa?
So What Did You All Get From Santa?
I'm sure you were all good this year, so was wondering what magical gifts Santa left in your stockings.
Me? I didn't get anything however my Tenyo 2014 set arrived on Christmas Eve and a little Tenyo collectible I had acquired recently arrived a day or so earlier - so I'm a happy bunny.
What about you?
Cheers
Andrew

DVDs and books, but no magic.
But definitely had some seasonal generosity from some friends regarding Tenyo.

I received a $50 gift certificate for Amazon which I used to buy a wallet for CTW and a special deck of cards, so I received magic by proxy I guess.

“Flight,” “Dark Shadows,” and “Gladiator” on DVD, a 2014 magic calendar, a deck of gold playing cards, five novels by Charles Dickens (in a single volume), and my favorite: a T-shirt that reads (exactly as written), “I’m Just a F*cking Ray of Sunshine!”

Dustin, what is the magic calendar called? I was looking for one this year but could not find one.
To answer the question, Hofzinser on the installment plan and the Ricky Jay DVD. My wife told me she was sick of getting me magic or if me buying my own Xmas presents. Now I have a whole year to brainwash that terrible idea out of her system.
Peace, Joe

Re: So What Did You All Get From Santa?
My wife lets me resubscribe to Magic Magazine and Genii in December. After resubscribing to Genii, I spent another $5 and got all four issues of the Looking Glass. Now that's a bargain!!! My family sent me a $100 gift certificate to my favorite magic shop, The Wunderground in Clawson, Michigan. My father-in-law kicked in another $50 cash. So when I go back to Michigan for vacation (I am in North Dakota right now), I will be able to spend my Christmas money.

It's simply called "Magic" and is published by Catch Publishing (Sandy Claws dug it up for me around September on Calendars.com; they don't have any more that I can see).

Hofzinser, although I won't physically get it until Jan 6 when I visit The Magic Circle. It better be there.

I got plenty of gift cards from Amazon. I just purchased an "arm Chopper" with one of them. I was thinking of getting some of those expensive decks of cards they have with the remaining money.

Hofzinser (from the missus) and a magic poster from 1911 (from me). I also renewed my subscription to Genii and got "Jennings '97" - but this cannot be considered as a "Christmas Present" as I would have re-subscribed anyway

I got Industrial Revelation. It came out years ago, but it's fantastic. I really like it.

In magic, the Patrick Page book and Japan Ingenious. Also, interesting box sets of Burt Bacharach and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
