Does anyone know if the website 'The Learned Pig' is extinct?
If so, does anyone know what happened?

I remember reading that due to security issues, which he did not have time to deal with, he decided to close the project.

TLP is alive and well. No new material for some time now, but members can still access the site, and all it has to offer (which is plenty).
Re: The Fate of The Learned Pig
Wait; who is right, Joe Pecore or Evan Shuster?
I had also heard the account of Joe Pecore; but if Evan Shuster is right, where is the TLP website located???

Thanks, Evan.
I used to have the user name and password; can any of you tell me how to reapply for them?

The same user name/password I've always used still works.

Evan Shuster cannot tell a lie!
Re: The Fate of The Learned Pig
I gave the "mirror site" in case you don't remember the correct user and password, since there is no way to get them from the System Admin at the Learned Pig and we cannot give that info publicly. The mirror site is not the complete site, just most of it.

Re: The Fate of The Learned Pig
I have been asked to post the following information on behalf of lybrary.com:
"Lybrary.com purchased TLPP from Marko. We are planning to relaunch the collection of ebooks in the future. For the time being it is not possible to register new accounts. The recent mirror website is unauthorized and we would like to ask for its termination. Further news and updates will be announced in the Lybrary.com magic newsletter."

Just registered and was duly impressed with the new interface. Thank you, Chris for this great contribution and providing access to these classics.
