I just signed up for the 2012 Essential Magic Conference, July 27-29. This will be their third and, apparently, their final
one.

That's a real surprise that they're stopping it after three conferences!

That is a surprise. I got the email yesterday and I guess I missed the words "and final." Saw some notice about it on Twitter but assumed it was just speculation.
Sad to hear. There was a lot of further potential there. I'm sure for Luis and co., it was expensive and time-consuming to produce. I hope they go out with a bang.

It does make a nice ending: 33 speakers over 3 days for 3 years.

Re: Essential Magic Conference
At one time, registered members of Essential Magic Conference could watch the talks online. Now, the Conference website is gone, and I can't find the talks anywhere on the Essential Magic Collection website. Does anyone know if the talks are still online, just hidden somewhere?
