Some Bastard Steals Raymond Crowe's Act!

Postby Richard Kaufman » June 30th, 2011, 11:40 am

You've got to wonder about both the balls and stupidity of someone who steals another mans ENTIRE act and does it on TV!
Some fool on Thailand's Got Talent took master shadowgrapher Raymond Crowe's whole hand-shadow act and did it on TV:

To demonstrate how classy this thief is he appears to be using a blue plastic tarp for the screen!

Sad.

Bastard is being polite.

Is there no way for producers of these shows to ban acts that have been stolen. I know some will say they are ignorant to the facts etc but that reeks of ****. Surely mega billion shows like this should have some way to ensure acts are original. Using someone else's move/touch/line is one thing.... but a whole freaking act. Un-be-****in-lievable.

Does Ray have any legal recourse? Or if he could charge a licencing fee.

This is as bad as Robin Williams stealing jokes back in the 80's

I think so. Shadow pantomimes are likely covered by both thai and austrailan copyright.
