A question to Ted & Martinka Company:

Will the forthcoming print edition of the catalog of this auction be essentially the images and text from the PDF catalog, or are the descriptions, condition statements, collations, etc. more involved?

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide and congratulations on a successful auction.

A message from Maurine Christopher...........

I would like to personally thank everyone who participated in the third Christopher Auction on April 20, 2011.

The day was extremely exciting as bids came in quickly from the floor, phone and computer.

Christophers knowledge came through research, and his research turned into a vast collection.

My husband would have been so pleased to see his magic treasures acquired by such passionate historians of today.

With Best Magical Wishes,

Maurine Brooks Christopher

A printed softcover catalog was presented to those who attended the preview and auction in New York City. Those who made a purchase on the internet will also receive one with their order.

The catalog describes all 274 lots in the auction along with color reference photos. The descriptions and photos are as published on the website. It also includes an introduction by Maurine Christopher and photos of Milbourne.

The statue that appeared on the cover of Christopher's Illustrated History of Magic is on the catalog cover (it sold for $45,000).

If you were unable to attend the sale and would like to have a copy we will be making them available within the next two weeks on our retail site at:

Obviously these are not the hammer prices: these numbers include the buyer's premium (20%).

Congratulations again to all involved!

Just found a small oops in my data. The high estimate for the passed item was zero in my spreadsheet, so that total is changed above just a tiny amount ($400).
