Richard, the myth about Erdnase is still out there as well. So what of it? IMHO it's more productive to learn about myths as they propigate then to fret over the public's current vague perceptions of our history.

It's a shame. I really loved "The War Magician" when I first read it. Ah well, historical fiction is still a good read many time. (I was a big John Jakes fan in my younger years and loved The Kent Family Chronicles, North and South, and California Gold.)
