Next up, a Saturday morning cartoon with a young Harry and Art solving mysteries? Wonder what the animal mascot will be. Or maybe a ghost like the old Funky Phantom cartoon?

Just go to my blog and click the "Fictional adventures" index tag and you'll find a slew of Houdini/Conan Doyle mash-ups in books, graphic novels, movies, etc. In the last month I've reviewed two Houdini Doyle graphic novels alone.

Houdini is certainly a hot commodity these days. The only thing missing is a musical theater piece. Oh, wait:
Sorkin, Elfman writing Houdini Musical
What a team! Danny Elfman writing songs, Aaron Sorkin writing script, and Hugh Jackman set to star as Houdini.

I'd like to know what ever happened with The Secret Life of Houdini movie? It was announced with great fanfare in 2009. Then, Jeff Nathanson was announced as the writer and director a few months later. Then nothing. Another Houdini movie consigned to Development Hell?

Maybe if Judi Dench takes an interest in playing the role of Cecilia Weisz?

BTW, I've discovered there are A LOT of other Houdini projects set up at other studios that have not been publicly announced.
