You won't have to wait for Christmas. A little more than six days to go.

Sorry Richard, but my birthday two weeks away, not six days. No need to make a big deal out of it, but thanks for the thought anyway.

Richard,

Do you need people who are already activated via their e-mail address for the archives to send it again? And if so, send it where exactly?

Six days to go ...

Those who have already activated their iGenii accounts don't need to do anything.

Those who have already sent in their email addresses don't need to do anything.

Those who haven't sent in their email addresses need to do it NOW.

What about people who have only just subscribed to Genii - as in within the last month?

Do we need to send in our email address as well, or is it taken from the subscription details?

Jon

Those who have subscribed within the past four months and included an email address with their information do not have to contact us.

There's a rumor that Richard is going to email everyone a pdf of the working of the Hooker Card Rise.

Well, there wasn't a rumor until I posted this. But there is now!

Richard Kaufman, albeit in different thread wrote:I wish I could announce the publication of "Mr. Jennings Takes it Easy" on Tuesday, but alas that won't be the case. What's coming will effect and be of value to many more people than the pool of potential customers for that book.

So tantalizing!

Eh ... not really.

The big news is that the January issue of Genii is now online in our new monthly digital edition. Those of you who've activated your iGenii accounts will notice the icon of a small magazine flipping pages at the bottom of the Ask Alexander main page. Click on that and you will be able to read our January issue--right NOW.
iPad and iPhone app to come.

Wow, great news!

(this means I can read it at work, getting caught reading a paper copy might be embarrassing, but onscreen, nobody the wiser :) )

This is just fantastic. I receive my MUM via digital download and the Genii interface is far superior to it. Just when I thought that I had already exhausted my magic Christmas list........
Thanks, Richard. What a nice surprise!

My oh my -- simply stunning.
Very intuitive controls - what a great platform.

Kudos to all - a new standard has been set.

(Oh, and the content? If the January '11 issue is a foreshadowing of the upcoming year -- hold on to your hats. Spectacular.)

Tutti bravi !

P.S. Will this format only be for issues after January '11? It's a winner.

P.P.S. The first of several 40 minute reading sessions just flew by.

Ooooh, that WAS exciting. Nifty the way it took over Safari and opened a nice two-page spread. But the most exciting page to me was page 9, showing it coming soon to the iPad. My iPod Touch and my desktop Mac have seen little of me since the iPad was invented, as it's just such a superior reading tool as well as, literally, over 150,000 other things. But meanwhile, iGenii just hit a home run. Now, back to the content ...

Full instructions are here:
http://geniimagazine.com/help/igenii-instructions/

There's no Android app yet, however I have no problem viewing on my Droid X simply by logging in the normal way as if using it on a desktop or laptop.

Ditto for the iPad--the controls are primitive, but if you go to the login page for Alexander, log in, and then tap on the broken link in the lower left corner (where the flipping issue icon is when a system can read Flash), then the digital issue will open on the iPad as well. We are waiting for Apple to approve our apps for the iPad and iPhone. This can take up to six weeks. When they do, there will be excellent functionality and it will be much better.

None of you have found the audio files yet? Look on the first pages of both Genii Speaks and On the Slant. You'll see a "listen" button--click it! (It doesn't work on the iPad, but you will hear me and Jon read our columns on any desktop or laptop. Not sure about the Droid!

If you click on the Archive button on the left (at the top) you'll see that you can also view the November and December issues.

On the second visit I found the audio files for yourself and Jon R.; yet another great feature.

Can one navigate through the audio files (i.e., ffwd, reverse)? I accidentally clicked on another page and the audio reset to the beginning (as I was toward the end of the section on the Siegfried and Roy book).

Also found the Nov and Dec archives (which contain no audio files, correct?).

Looks GREAT! Instant links to advertisers and shows, embedded audio articles, zoom and search features, the ability to archive and 'favorite' pages, links to videos of tricks and more. This is much better than I thought it would be (not that I had doubts. I just wasn't expecting as many details and features as there are!).

Bravo to all involved. GENII is again on the cutting edge.

Imagine what is to come...

No audio files in November or December issues.

I'm not thrilled with the audio player: there is no way to pause it or jump to spots. If you stop it by turning the page, you must listen from the beginning. Hopefully it will get upgraded by the company we're using.

Obviously we'll be increasing the amount of audio and video as months go by!

Very nice. As others have mentioned, the built in linking and audio is darn handy/useful.

Great issue too.
