Four Vegas Magic Shows Close Without Warning!

Postby Richard Kaufman » September 24th, 2010, 1:38 pm

The Royal Resort in Las Vegas closed yesterday without warning, and four magic shows (including the Losanders) closed along with it!
Bummer.

This hotel has always been a flaky property and over the years has undergone several transformations and closures. It started it's life as The Royal Las Vegas and is on Convention Center Drive. Aside from overflow traffic for the largest conventions where you just can't get a room anywhere else, I could never imagine how this place stayed open.

I do have some great memories of the place. It was the first place I had a job as a restaurant magician in 1987 and Gary Darwin used to hold his Wednesday night meetings here.

It's bound to bounce back eventually. It always has.
