Oops....the other show you mentioned resulted in Andrew O Connor being removed from the magic circle. Wonder what happened to him ?

It would appear to be on Youtube now here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgjdG_EL ... e=youtu.be
So you can make an educated opinion rather than being swayed this way and that by others personal opinions
This is the first part of four which are on the same page. I would be quick as I would imagine that the guy will soon be asked to remove it.

Re: The Magicians come to BBC One on Saturday nights
Just watched the whole show.
Thoughts:
I like the fact that there are no judges.
I like the fact that the magicians are paired with different celebs each week.
I like the fact that the magicians and celebrities perform together.
And I like Lenny Henry! I wish whoever was writing his material was doing a better job, but he's a great enthusiastic personality.
The show seemed long to me, so there are some pacing issues that I hope are improved in subsequent episodes.
Since 6.5 million people watched it, I really don't think a few dozen unhappy Tweets mean much.
Overall I enjoyed the show and look forward to some dog putting it up on YouTube again next week!

It's a great goal to be in England only for the tv show.
Superlative.

I lasted 44 seconds. I remember someone talking to me in the Fringe years ago, and his main topic of conversation was how he was in that show. Can't place him, though.
At least it wasn't Luke...

I really don't know what to say after watching that clip ... and to think there were 15 episodes! (That was the highest number I could find.)

And little Jermay looked so young... even younger than he looks now.
Re: The Magicians come to BBC One on Saturday nights
Jermay was identified as being 18 years old.
'Magicians in love.' No wonder women love magic so much. ;)
You really should watch the second episode, three of them get to perform to try to win the lady's affections!

Looking forward to episode 2 of this tonight. I enjoyed it last week and thought Barry and Stuart were very good...a shame they didn't get enough votes for their routines.
Love and magic have a great deal in common. They enrich the soul, and they both take practice.

Re: The Magicians come to BBC One on Saturday nights
I thought Saturday nights show was the best one so far. The confetti butterfly routine that Luis did with Tulisa was visually stunning.
I also loved the Mad Hatter routine that Chris Korn performed. I was shocked when he and Rolf were voted to do the forfeit as I thought all of their performances had been great.
The fact that Lenny Henry did the forfeit was a great way to end the show and was a nice twist.

R Paul Wilson was a consulting producer on the BBC show The Magicians and joins me to discuss the challenges that they faced in recapturing a prime time slot on the BBC with a magic show. He also talks about the show's reception within the magic community: http://bit.ly/f9bCQn

I have enjoyed the shows so far and the format is growing on me. The magic is strong.
