A different kind of magic, and they don't make them like this anymore. If the Internet did nothing other than make stuff like this available on YouTube it would be worthwhile:

That was great! There will never be talent like that again at one time. IMHO.

I totally agree. I believe they were every bit magicians as those who use props.

No, they don't make 'em like that any more, but the memories linger on at the Internet version of my terrestrial radio show in Music City, A Date With Sinatra, now heard at www.BostonPete.com Activate the red 'on air' box [upper left]and hear Francis Albert sing, That Old Black Magic...

Can you imagine if they had Betty White and Justin Bieber same week?

They say this Orpheus guy was pretty good. Played a lyre.

I always love it when I ask a magician about their influences during one of the podcast interviews and they start talking about non-magicians. Dean Martin, Red Skelton, etc.. Those are some of my favorite moments and some of the most interesting insights.

Back in my younger days, as a performer just starting out, I learned so much from Frank Sinatra's album, "Sinatra at the Sands". It taught me much about flow and pacing when putting together a show. Not to mention just being relaxed and natural on stage.
