I totally agree. I believe they were every bit magicians as those who use props.

I always love it when I ask a magician about their influences during one of the podcast interviews and they start talking about non-magicians. Dean Martin, Red Skelton, etc.. Those are some of my favorite moments and some of the most interesting insights.

Back in my younger days, as a performer just starting out, I learned so much from Frank Sinatra's album, "Sinatra at the Sands". It taught me much about flow and pacing when putting together a show. Not to mention just being relaxed and natural on stage.
