I was in the New York area for a show and had some extra time so I contacted Darryl V. Harris about possibly getting together. I was glad he had some time to chat.

Over the years I have always heard great things about Darryl but I never had the opportunity to meet him. Im glad I reached out to him. We met, had brunch and then he broke out the cards. He performed some very technical, yet very practical card magic flawlessly.

He taught me a very cool move I was able to work into one of my routines that same night. He also shared some performance ideas that will take your presentations up a notch.

To top everything off he gave me a copy of his lecture notes featuring some of his favorite material. He even pointed out his personal highlight in the notes.

On the plane home I had a chance to read the routine he suggested I learn, I said to myself
Yep thats a Keeper.

Anytime someone gives the way Mr. Harris did I call That a Class Act - He is a Hidden Gem

Darryl did a close-up act at a Magic on Manhattan one-day convention some years ago and killed. Richard K., David Roth, Mark Phillips and I used to meet at Darryl's house before going to lectures in New Jersey. Those were great days.
