CAN HOUDINI ESCAPE MURDER PROBE?

Postby Magic Newswire » June 9th, 2008, 11:03 pm

It's a rather long story, but most of you are aware of the various theories suggesting that Houdini was a victim of murder. Of recent note, it was put forth in the Kalush book, "The Secret Life of Houdini: The Making of America's First Superhero". In an article that I discovered today in Publisher's weekly, bestselling crime writer Kathy Reichs, also a board-certified forensic anthropologist, talks about the release of her most recent novel Devil Bones. When asked what we can next expect from her writing, mentions her involvement with a team thats supposed to dig up famed magician Harry Houdini, though there are still legal issues to work through. There are conspiracy theories that Houdini was murdered, says Reichs, and of course we want to see if hes still there.

More details on the site.

Talk about beating a dead horse. Thankfully this "theory" surfaces less and less over time.

I too thought it was a dead issue completely. Had no idea that there was still a move on to make it happen hence my surprise when I saw the comment by Kathy Reichs.

I don't think there is a move on the story. Houdini was in two sentences of the whole article. It looked more like filler to wrap up the article.
