Richard has been my best friend in magic, and in life, for more than 20 years. Aside from his amazing achievement with Genii Magazine, he changed the look of magic books (for the better!) single-handedly.

Happy Birthday, Richard. You don't look a day over 49.

Happy Birthday Richard!!

Was that really you in white tie and tails in the last issue of Genii? I am impressed.

May the next 50 bring even greater success than the first 50.

Many happy returns, RK! "Fitty" ain't so bad; there's a Swedish proverb that says one doesn't accomplish manhood until one has lived 50 years.

As if we needed additional proof that you're a mensch, you tipped a routine from the upcoming Jennings book for a young Forumite the other day. Total class!

Liberace eh? That clears up a lot of things. :D

Happy Birthday Richard. More shocking than your birthday is the fact that you've been in the DC area close to 20 years now! Hope you have a great day and give your wonderful family a big hug for me.

Hi Richard,
Congratulations with your birthday!! Instead of sending flowers or something else I have decided to renew my subscription on Genii today. I strongly advice all readers of this forum who have not a subscription to do subscribe immediately. There is no other way to please the Kaufman family more. BTW this is my last warning.
Kind regards,
Dick Koornwinder

When turning 50, one is just beginning to reach the age of reason.

Studs Terkel is 96, Janet Jackson is 42, RK is 50!

Happy 50th Richard - there are lots of numbers out there after that one; may they all be a blast!

My, oh, my...
We met 36 years ago and I remember saying (after looking at a few of your illustrations): "You should write and illustrate a book...or..hmmmmm...maybe put out a magazine."
Happy birthday to the Head Genie...
Many happy returns...

Onward...

As my daughter said when she turned 8, "You're really old, Dad. I'm still just a single digit."

Happy birthday, despite smarty pants daughters.
