Is there a search engine for Genii magazine? I printed a trick years ago in Genii and want to buy that issue and was wondering how to find that issue.

Unfortunately, the Genii archive's own search function remains nearly unusable.

This requires creating a free account, but I end up using the Magic Knowledge Base Search page at Lybrary.com:
https://www.lybrary.com/account_knowledge_base.php

That gets me to the right (or a promising) page, and then I can use the Genii archive to view the whole page.

Your trick "Red Rising" appears in the Sept 2011 Genii.

I use the search function. It's not great, but it does seem to work.

Chris,

There's an online index of all the Genii Magazine issues from the Kaufman era (starting from January 1999) that I keep updated on a monthly basis. Some years ago, the Chief Genii granted permission to make it public (other than investing quite some time to keep it up-to-date, I make no profit at all) so that anyone interested could make good use of it.

The index can be found here: http://genii.somee.com/ (or you can just Google "Genii index"). Just type "Randall" in the field "Person" and you'll get what you are looking for (Red rising, page 18, September 2011 issue).

Hope this helps.
