I just received the September (Daryl) and October (Forte) issues the 25th and 26 of October. And I hope top receive the November (Hofzinser) issue soon.

I live in Denmark, Europe, so expect to receive the issues a week later than the US subsribers, however the September issue came rather late (25th of October).

Did not arrive at my house. Cheap excuses given were that (a) I don't subscribe, and (b) I haven't been at my house for over a month, and then it was just for two days. Regardless, had to fly from Philadelphia to Indianapolis, then drive to Nashville, just to find this Dr Hofzinser issue.

And I thought Dr Hofzinser was a brand of cough syrup!

*jeep!

It finally (finally!) arrived in Santa Monica, California yesterday, October 31.

I gotta find out how much Pete Biro tips his postman to get such superior service. He lives only about 10 miles away but seems to always get his Genii about 10-14 days ahead of me. . .

Jeffrey,

It might help to complain to your post office. My postmaster told me that first and second class items (I'm not sure what class Genii falls into) are supposed to be delivered to your home the day after they arrive at the post office. For bulk rate items, the post office folks may hold them "a few days" at their discretion as they move out all the first/second class items.

Genii is mailed Second Class Periodical Rate. It sits at your local post office until they feel like delivering it.

Being a member of the staff of Genii... we get first class postage, which often speeds it up, but not always.

Who is Dr.(!) Hofzinser? Hofzinser never got a doctor's degree.
I have seen that wonderful GENII Hofzinser issue in Escorial. Magic Christian had some issues with him.

Just this day the October Steve Forte issue arrived with a little defect: the pages 76 and 77 sticked together with small strip of a blue glue!?

Thursday the 3rd Herr Hofzinser knocked on my door in Stockholm/Sweden, took off his rainy coat, sat down in my comfortable sofa, brought forth his well used piatnick deck, and amazed me with some wonderful effects. My lower jaw is still on the floor...

Arrived in Scotland this morning. A quick skim revealed two things; a nostalgic glow at seeing bridge sized piatniks throughout, and the realisation that Inquisition got a lot easier after the second question.

Take care, Ian
