Genii Speaks is the first place I turn to when I get a new Genii in the mail. Reading that 1st paragraph this month struck a nerve and I agree 100%.
It does seem to be the way of things in our little world: having to run out to the office supply store or Home Depot and then spend an hour of assembly time whenever a new trick arrives just continues the lazy progression of magic items. For example: too much trouble to write instructions, so let's put in a DVD instead. Making DVD's is too much trouble, so let's make you go on-line. Each time, we are told it's for our own good, but as Richard so artfully describes, we know exactly whom these practices benefits. To see a vernerable company like Tenyo fall prey to this current trend is sad, but not surprising (and perhaps understandable given the current state of the global economy).
On the plus (really big plus) side: that partial list of Greater Magic contributors is stunning! Can't wait!

Yep. "Too Much Trouble" is yet another of today's heavy mantras.
Well, if they can't be bothered, neither can I. I'll buy a new shed instead.
