So the missus was wondering about the stuff all awry on the second and third shelves in our sitting room.
"No, don't touch that," I said.
"You promised you'd make room for my Cretinous Politicians bobble-head collection," she reminded me.
"True. I guess they'll all have to go into the Contest grab bag as prizes," I reluctantly replied.
She started moving things. "Hey wait a minute," she said. "You can't give away this stuff. It's too good. Even I know about these DVDs:

Think by Shin Lim
Time is Money by Asi Wind
Hundy 500 by Greg WIlson
Smashed by Jay Sankey
Ultimate Self Working Card Tricks produced by BBM

"You can't give these away. They're too good. And what the--you're giving away Martin Lewis's Sidewalk Shuffle and Russ Niedzwiecki's just Passin thru? And a classic wooden Die Box with an accompanying video? And those books you mentioned in a previous post?"
"Hey, how did you know about that?"
"Just call me LurkerGal2018."
"Oh." I sadly nodded. "Yep, I guess they'll all have to go. After all, the bobble-head collection..."
She put her foot down. "No, I won't let you do it. These are too good to give away. I can fit all the Cretinous Politicians bobble-heads on the first shelf."
A few minutes later she turned on cable news. It was story after story after story after story.
We turned to each other. It was clear the Cretinous Politician bobble-head collection was nowhere near complete. A worthy collection could never fit into just one shelf...It would require at least four more shelves.
"I'm sorry, Jack. But think of the children. They deserve to know just who's screwin' them."
"True," I replied sadly, "the children."

And so for the children's sake we are clearing out the shelves to make room. But fortunately that makes for a better Contest. It's easy and fun to enter.
