RIP, CC

Postby Jack Shalom » July 1st, 2018, 11:06 am

After four years, nine months and 3 days--over 4500 views and 226 pages--the climate change thread, an ever-reliable source of hot air at the Magic Cafe has passed on.

Climate change, we hardly knew Ye.

RIP.

Wasn't aware of it. Maybe we can start one here and see if it overtakes the Erdnase thread.

I'll start. It was very hot to day in Manchester.

LOL.

BTW, I posted a similar RIP, CC notice on the Magic Cafe. Of course, the humorless drones deleted it.

Coincidentally I just had a facebook conversation with a gentleman I expect you know where I remarked that the Magic Cafe seems to have gone down the drain lately and is nearly as boring as the Genii Forum. The difference is that the Genii Forum is supposed to be boring and the magic cafe isn't.

I have noticed that people on the cafe don't post anywhere near as frequently as they used to and when they do they just cover the same stuff. They really should me a moderator over there. I would soon stir things up. The first thing I would do is ban Steve Brooks for exposing Bill to Lemon.

Jack, what is the point of your post? Why would a climate change thread have any place on The Magic Cafe in the first place?

The Cafe has this menu:

Not very magical, still...
A place to discuss things which have nothing to do with magic

Not Very Magical, Still... Ah' I had 100's of posts deleted from that section, and quite a few edited to change my meaning as well (by the Mods). The good folks over there were kind enough to provide me with a lifetime ban.

If you are not buying (or drinking the Kool Aid) they don't want you there.

Though... I do have fond memories.

Concisely put Brian. The Kool Aid is flowing there like wine in the Roman Coliseum.

The Magic Cafe has 66,906 registered members.
At any given time, there will be about 14 of those members browsing.

I see Genii has a banner add there.

Money well spent!

What always boggled my mind was that a site designed for creative colorful people... punishes people for being creative and colorful...

However, I did get the chance to know some of those creative colorful people over in NVMS, which was refreshing from the collection of experts that have never performed (except for maybe friends and family) who are more than willing to tell workers that they know better...

;)

Business is business I suppose. Prostitutes would hang around the Coliseum during the games in search of customers.

More Cafe hijinks:

1. Hardly any one who saw this card trick knew it was a card trick

2. Best impossible location reveal?

Always looking for the best this or that. They have highbrow taste over there...

Steve Brooks was kind enough to comp me that small add, which I thought was extremely generous.
