Richard advertises, then teases.

Postby DonB » April 19th, 2014, 1:25 pm

Today in my mailbox I find the May issue of Genii, with 2 good/bad things.

First, in his Genii Speaks column, he places a subtle, but large ad for the Tenyo Tomes, "Tenyoism".

Then, he allows Max to write a HUGE teaser regarding Tenyo items, with a feature story on Shigeru Sugawara, and all of the Tenyo items he has created.

Richard, just put my name on one of the book sets, and let me know when to apply for my next mortgage.

Anticipating some killer reading material, really soon………..

He "allowed" me? That's an interesting interpretation...

I invited Max to write the story and he graciously accepted, however I think the original post is written in jest.

I can't wait to see what material Richard has allowed Max to present on his Penguin lecture tonight ;)

Max,

Richard didn't "allow" you, as in give you permission.

He "allowed" you to tease me with another great glimpse into Sugawara's influence as part of the Tenyo legacy.

Richard, not having it available, or in my hands, YET, is the "bad" part.

Richard and Max, you two are priceless parts of the magic world. Thank you both.

Let's take a poll.

Will the book make prices for discontinued Tenyo items go up, or down?

You would think that the book will create an increased interest in Tenyo. If that does happen, then many will seek out discontinued Tenyo causing them to have an increased value. Isn't that the way it usually works?

Richard's book should bring new life to many Tenyo releases which gets very little or no attention these days. You never know...

By the way, Richard's book is not only for Tenyo collectors. It's like a history book for anyone interested in magic. A great read for all!

When the book comes out, I am going to offer Genii Forum members several discontinued Tenyo items at very low prices. Unbeatable prices! Some of them have already been offered here but not at the prices I will have when the book is released.

If anyone wants to PM or email me requesting that I contact you just before I announce it here on the Forum, please do so.
