Tim's routine is in the book, but his gaff is used in several other routines, and in some, you need two of them.

I have a routine that uses Tim's gaff, as well as some other ideas that will completely fool anyone who knows the basic principle.

The problem we have now is Google. Layman can find out the basic principle in seconds, so, to counter that, you need more advanced methods that hide the basic principle.

Also, save all those poker ranking cards that come with Bicycles. Those are used for a wonderful finale devised by Mike Porstmann.

Okay. Life is again in balance. I have just received "The Bammo Ten Card Deal Dossier". Problem is that it is Saturday and my wife received the package .... I have some "splainin" to do ....

Got my Ellis gaffs and am rarin' to go. Finding those rank of poker hands cards is going to be be the challenge. Do they still include those in the new bike decks?

If you can't find the ranking cards, search the internet for images under "poker ranking." Print that out in color, prepare it as noted in the book, and encase it in some plastic (used for ID cards--go to Walmart).

I thought maybe I made Farmer mad by stealing Rush as a client, but I guess he forgave me because the book finally arrived in Springfield, MO today. Yea right...like anyone could do the job for this group like Bob.

I noticed it was shipped media mail on the 23rd from NY. If your book was mailed the same day but you reside significantly further south or west, you should expect it to take a little more time.

I do believe this is the biggest booktease I've ever been involved with. Paris and Dallas before NYC? I'm still not convinced my mailman doesn't have the hots for a good poker hand. Call me confused, desperate, and hungry to read my copy...

Got home after a long, too-busy day. Pattie’s on her school trip, so I have double duty, then Robby broke the garage door window. Finally had a minute to myself, went into my office to do something I can’t remember.

There’s a package sitting on my desk. This in itself is startling, as Tom Stoppard wrote. Pattie was not home to bring the package inside, open it, and put it on my desk. Robby was home, but he’s never opened a package and would have told me if he had. How did it get there?

The Bammo Ten Card Deal Dossier had magically appeared in my office.

This is the greatest magic book ever, and I haven’t read a word. It magically appeared in my office!

Method
It arrived yesterday; Pattie forgot to tell me. By chance I was busy yesterday (and tomorrow, now that I think of it) and didn’t make it into my office.

I borrowed my neighbor's blow torch to open mine. But I thought the charring of the pages added a lovely character and charm to the effects. I'm loving it.

By a happy coincidence both the book and the Ellis cards arrived at AJM Towers today.

A very handsome volume indeed, very many congratulations to the author whoever he is - it seems we know very little about him.

What we really need is a comprehensive compendium of the Ambitious Card Routine and all of its variations. How about it, Bob? Volume 1 could be on the Double Lift, Volumes 2 and 3 could cover the routines that have been developed over the last century or so.

Daryl did a book on The Ambitious Card years ago--it's long out of print, and wasn't by any means comprehensive, but it was good. Perhaps Andy Greget can find you a copy, Bill.
