Beautiful. Having only seen the Orson Welles footage, great to be able to watch this. Love the respect and affection the host Merv Griffin shows towards the art. No doubt a different era.

PapaG: Was there to be another book published of Grippo's work? I am only aware of the Geno Munari book.

Wasn't there supposed to be a Munari/Racherbaumer-written book? It's been discussed several times here over the last ten years.

Sure sounds like it--the Miller/Wilson book contains "Geno Munari's adaptation of the Jimmy Grippo Index" (cf. http://www.houdini.com/en/card-magic/68 ... index.html )

Not only that, but the other thread also has this statement:

"Jimmy's book is out of print and I do not want to reprint it. It does not have his real material in it."

It seems neither of these publications has the true goods.
