Mysterious Stranger by David Blaine
is #15 on The New York Times Book Review Best Seller List. This is the first week on the list. He certainly seems to know what needs to be done to succeed in whatever he chooses to do.
I believe he'll be just as successful in films. Charisma is the word that comes to mind.

Does anyone know who ghosted it for him?

I found it interesting that he was still trying to play the myth while "giving up the goods" on some pieces that essentially are his methods...

I am reading this right now and think it's pretty good. I think he is successfully building his character for people as someone who is mysterious, has always had tremendous power and can't stop himself from doing magic. I don't want to live in any buildings with him, though, since his have always burned down... :D

He has created a mystique around himself (he is what people imagine a magician should be, dark, brooding, powerful and able to do anything) and the book simply enforces that image. There is a good interview with him in this months Entertainment Magazine (the one with Harry Potter on the cover) where he discusses his book.
