Cups and Balls

I was wondering which cup set would be best to get for under $100? I would like cups that are the size of the gazzo cups just
within my budget. Anyone want to sell some?

There is also Dai Vernon's routine in Stars of Magic using glass tumblers wrapped in newspaper (if you don't have this book, you should, and Meir Yedid has a fine reprint of it available here).

Another thing to consider is going to "99-cent" and thrift stores and see if you cannot find appropriate metal tumblers in their kitchenware sections.

A good source of information on cups would be Bill Palmer who has a large collection.

A very nice set of cups that costs 100 dollars is the Penguin cups. They are not as large as Gazzo cups, but handle nicely and have a good weight to them.

That depends on the size of your hands, the size of the coconut halves, and the sleights/technique you want to use. Large containers, like bowls (or coconut shells) would have to be handled like a Benson Bowl. That will limit youat least in my estimationto the number of moves available to you (and therefore effects/phases). Cups that fit your hand (make a C with your thumb and fingers to get the size) give you more flexibility in that regard.

Of course, thats just my opinion. Anything is certainly possible.

Morrissey Magic in Toronto still makes decent, spun aluminum cups (in several styles and sizes) that fall within your price range. They are very light, but if thats not an issue check it out:
