New member looking for Paul Tosi

Postby Guest » September 2nd, 2006, 5:10 pm

Hello to all at the Genii Forum. I was told about your forum and decided to try it out.
I want to do this by seeing if anyone on this forum has any information on Paul Tosi. He was in Florida and has since moved and I purchased his milk to lightbulb a couple of years ago and wanted to get a tune up on it, as well as buying a backup. His email address, or at least the one I have, is no longer activated.
Does anyone have information on him?
Thanks

Paul Tosi... WOW!

I knew him in Bloomington, IL in the late 1970's. He had a small storefront magic shop and we would session there. I bought several of his pieces, the most precious one is my set of linking safety pins, with shrinking pin and final mini-pin. Wonderful set (5 pieces in all).

I know that he worked with Andy Dallas (current S.A.M. President) in Champaign-Urbana, and although that relationship ended kinda strained, I'm sure the Most Illustrious Mr. Dallas would be willing to help.

For the wonder of it all...

I have some of Paul Tosi's excellent work (shimmed cards, gimmicked coins, and linking safety pins) and I would be glad to know where he is now and if he is still manufacturing his magic props.

To those of you who were interested in contacting Paul Tosi if I found him, well good news I did find him and he said I could give out his email address to all, but also said to give him some time to respond since he just moved and hasn't got his computer up to speed yet.
the email address is: ptosi@earthlink.net.
Thanks to all who helped.

Goat,

Not every magician in the world constantly monitors every magic board looking intently for references about themselves.

I do. But still nothin'

I know

The ;) was meant to signify it was a joke

Clearly not a very amusing one, for which I can do little other than apologise.

Crap,

I forgot to put the smiley thing on my post. (But, as you know Damian, if I'm posting, I'm joking)

I think the different smiley things have different meanings. I can't figure how to type a smiley for:

enter colon pound pound. It's funnier if you say it

Hugs,

PS. Paul's a really good guy.

Don't worry. Some of your other posts are funny enough that you still have a high average.

Hello!

I recall people raving about Tosi's coins during the 13 or so years I lived in the Orlando area. I only saw his actual product once (that I know of...), and it was excellent.

Now, if I could only find my old pal Zelig Hammer from NY (Catskills area) who made the best shells in the biz.....

I loved the dude, but he, out of the blue, nominated me to be Prez of the local SAM Assembly. I wasn't expecting it, so naturally, I won. One (or two) of the worst two years of my magical life.
