Best Okito Box and Routine...Your opinion?
Re: Best Okito Box and Routine...Your opinion?
Since my previous post above (from 2014), I've seen Tom Whitestone perform the Ken Brooke routine at The Magic Circle and can only echo what Barry has said. It's also fully described in part one of the Ken Brooke series of manuscripts and available from Stevens https://www.stevensmagic.com/shop/ken-b ... -volume-1/

Cool video is right. I loved the fact that he was apparently timing how long the routine took him. I wish I could handle coins like that.

Curtis Kam strikes again!
That whole Okito Box channel is cool/ Thanks for sharing that, erdnasephile.
Effect and method are inextricably linked.

The problem I have had when performing the Scarne copper silver routine out of the stars of magic was- when working bars and for people that have had a few drinks - they would forget what hand had the copper coin and what hand had the silver coin.
I do this Scarne trick quite frequently and have never had a problem with people getting confused. The secret of it is to take care of the matter in your patter and subtle questioning to make sure they are following. I use the same technique when performing the Dr Sack Dice Trick where the same problem of confusion is even more likely. Both tricks get very strong reaction.
