Any thoughts on building Tom's cardboard subtrunk gaff? Maybe made from a handtruck (tubular steel)?

The idea of taking the "fastest trick in the world" and making it the "cheapest trick in the world" and more impossible at the same time seems a winner IMHO.

Reason: how about duct tape instead of lock and chain on the box after the front falls down a few times?

I renewed my sub back in November last year, I got my last issue which was January but then never recieved February on my new subscription, Margret was as ever helpful and assured me I was on the February distribution list and sent me a replacement in an opaque envelope which I recieved, however I have still not had the March issue, but I know at least one person in our city that has his March copy, and has had for some time, on the same sub that I am on.

Has anyone else in the UK got their March issue?

I would also be very interested in switching to an opaque envelope system if it meant my issues getting through, and would gladly pay the extra $12 how do I set it up, and should I be requesting a replacement March issue, or am I being too hasty given we are still technically in March!

Manchester England: Nov 08, Feb and Mar 09 haven't arrived.

Jan and Feb and April 09 all arrived on time.

Margaret is kindly sending on replacements for the missing issues. Up to the November issue, I've never had a problem that I can recall.

Has not shown up in Roseville, CA (near Sacramento) yet. I was told to wait until the 20th before requesting a replacement. Hopefully it will show up. Magic magazine for April showed up a couple of days ago.

Haven't received (in the UK) April's issue as yet, which is strange as I usually get it the first week of the month. Hadn't had a problem with previous issues, though...

Well, the May issue arrived today. Alas, I fear the April issue has been waylaid.

I got my May issue in Seattle today (April 15). The article on Harry Thurston is interesting, as is the tribute to Ali Bongo. Thanks, Richard.

It is now April 21 and no April issue. I have received the May issue so I called in for a replacement for the April issue. Guess the April issue ended up in postal limbo.

Recieved May issue here in the UK. Missed out on April, February and (I've just realised) November so after recieving every issue for almost 4 years I'm beginning to fear I have a dishonest postman.
