Spinning Coins

Postby J.D.C. » July 9th, 2008, 11:59 pm

Does anyone know a place that sells a good quality set of filed down-spinning coins? These are the type that could allow a simple heads or tails prediction even when spun by a spectator.

Are you in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere?

Max,

You're not injecting toilet humor into this thread are you?

Hey, J.C...... Go and flush your toilet, does the water go clockwise or counter clockwise? You can't get a spinning coin manufactured by someone...say downunder and expect it to perform properly here in the Northern Hemisphere. The dia-meteric revolution counters nature's gravitational pull, giving you undesirable odds.....maybe I should get a job soon.

I guess J. B. Bobo never thought of that when he wrote New Modern Coin Magic. There is a section in his book on trick coins that describe the gimmick I seek. Maybe I was not very clear on what I was asking given the fact it took over 90 views before I received your particular response.

They never tell you about the left handed shift either, say you pick a south-paw, that has a tendancy to "spin" in the counter-clockwise fashion...unless you are below the equator, it ain't gonna land on the desirable side....The guy's name was "Bobo" for Jake's sake.

The coriolis effect has no effect on your toilet water or the spin of your coin gaffs :P
