Publication Date of 2 specific Genii Magazines

Postby Bill Wheeler » March 27th, 2008, 3:51 pm

The subject says it all :)

The first of these is a semi recent one where Hiroshi Sawa's magic was described. I think Juan Tamariz was on the cover...is this the correct one?

The other one was published I guess 10 years ago. I think it had Ton Onosaka on the cover and was primarily black and blue. It was an issue devoted to Japanese magicians.

Are both of these back issues available?

Hi Bill--the Juan Tamariz issue is October 2002 or 2003. Check the indexes inside the December issues. They can considerably cut your search time.

Hi,Bill :

I don't know these issues can call "semi recent",but I found 2 issues that Dr.Sawa's trick appeared.
"Submarine Coins" appeared on December 1999 issue and "The Copper Queen and Silver President" appeared on May 2000 issue("Genii Goes to Tokyo" special).
Maybe Charles Hsu can help you more. Hey,where did you go,Charles??

Sincerely,
Y

The Sleeve Shoot Out is one of the best things Sawa has ever devised and, of course, I didn't see or hear a single comment about it anywhere. Just buried in print, like most great magic.
