I've been reading Genii for more than 40 years. The magazine rarely came out in the month stated on the cover. The content was spotty and the layout and design no better than a high school newspaper.
Since Richard took over, the quality of the magazine on all levels has dramatically improved. The content is up to date, the layout very appealing, and at least in Cooperstown, NY I receive my issue one to two weeks before the stated cover date. It's unfortunate that our friends in Europe have not received their issues in a timely fashion. It sounds like efforts have been made to correct the problem created by a contractor who didn't do the job right.

Home Run with this issue Richard! Couldn't put it down till I finished the Forte story. Thanks for a job well done. Issue in and issue out.

The Issue finally got here last night. Whew! I was beginning to worry. As a big fan of Steve Forte, it was great to see him on the cover. The DVD had some excellent stuff on it as well.

I've had phone calls and e-mails from a number of subscribers who normally receive their issue before the 1st of the month and haven't received October yet.
We went in the mail the same time we always do, so the mail must just be slower this month. Don't ask me why. The post office is nothing but a disappointing mystery to those of us who are forced to rely on its services.

RK, I'm relieved to learn it wasn't just me; the October issue arrived yesterday (10/04). I figured the "larsen-y" was due to a combination of USPS indifference and the enormous amount of substance you've packed into this consistently magnificent publication. :D

Mine arrived today. In fine shape.

Nice issue! Very cool pictures of Forte's collection. I wish we could see video of him demonstrating it all.

The section on R.Paul Wilson and Lee Asher's excellent DVD Hit the road where Steve Forte demonstrates some of his collection is great. If someone were to persuade Steve to elaborate on this on a further DVD, I'd snap their arm off to buy one!

I recieved mine over here in Brussels Belgium 2 weeks ago...I also recieved 'another' October Magic publication today...Genii has been 2/3 weeks ahead of the other folks and that has been the case for the last 5 years where I haved lived in Korea, Germany and now Belgium. On top of that, I have not missed a single issue due to my address changing either! :)

The only other folks that has been even close to finding me as well as Genii are my bill collectors

They do so well at delivering SPAM /Junk Mail, that one might wonder how the magazine might travel if camouflaged as a sweepstakes entry or car insurance offer.

October versions of Genii and Magic both arrived today. I was a wee bit disappointed to see that the fabled free DVD was the same one L&L have been punting out with every order for the past few months. Oh well, I suppose I'm just being greedy...

Take care, Ian

Hmmm, then no need to look forward to the October issue re the DVD, at least, no doubt it will pop in at my place too within the next 2 weeks..
No complains, still faster then in the times of good ol' Bill Larsen and October has not even yet passed...

October issue finally arrived in Copenhagen today (looks great).

I'm still waiting for the september issue.

Having recieved the october issue of "MAGIC" three weeks ago, has prompted me to suggest that an option for special airmail delivery is offered to international subscribers.

Even though this will be more expensive, I wouldn't mind paying for this added service if this could speed up delivery (I receive MAGIC via airmail directly from the US - cost: an additional $29 on top of a world post subscription).

Asser Andersen

We are continuing to examine the various services and lengths of time it takes for delivery.
In the meantime, I would appreciate a LACK of sarcastic remarks. It's not like I personally am sitting here on bags of mail instead of taking them to the post office, and it's not like the magazine is being mailed later than usual.
At the moment, we are being told that our air lift service should take between 10 to 21 business days for delivery. In plain English, that's 2 to 4 weeks.
We are examining other options, however since Pitney Bowes has bought all of the companies that provide this type of mail service we don't have as many options as we otherwise might.
