Re: Magic Collectors Weekend in May
Bill, I understand what you are saying... however, if I'm performing or even someone who is working can not get the time off. Especially working magicians who do enjoy popping in to see a lecture or someone they know lecturing as well get a glimpse of the dealers room. Paying $220 for an entire week...

Re: Magic Collectors Weekend in May
My only complaint is that I wish they would offer one day passes and even the option to "buy" tickets to the dealer room. So last year I dropped in on a Friday, to have my banjo strung. I couldn't make it to the weekend because I had concerts. My goal to have a photo taken with Doctor Moss...

Re: Magic Collectors Weekend in May
they haven't announced it yet.
they did move up the weekend to the 2nd
(as it was in the past)
because of the G8 summit taking place
in Chicago.
I won't be able to attend, and not sure
if I will even be able to drop in this year.

Re: Welcome .... to Registration for Genii's 75th Anniversary Birthday Bash
*sigh* i want to go but not sure yet. Lots of 75th going on and it would be nice to get dad to one of them. Just received a page from a 1970 Genii reporting on the combined IBM/SAM in Milwaukee about dad being the best act performing. So it's nice to have that in my archives if anything, for my book...

back 20+ years ago when there were only 150 professional magicians working full time, you could make a really good quality salary and have a comfortable life. I know this because my parents were one of those 150 magicians. Obviously over the decades the economy has changed drastically. Plus the fiel...

It didn't say and it's not for sure a 1974. That is what TIVO said . I don't know the amazing Larry is either. It looks like a repro not a Harbin. It could be Jim sommers for all we know. Defining Authorship and Biographer
If someone gives you a written story about them self
or you document their story from an interview about them
and you re-write it.
What do you call yourself?
I want to know what the fine line and definition is
between an author or biographer.
Thanks.
