Does anyone remember the name of the guy who attempted to escape from a clear box/coffin which was buried in concrete? The weight of the concrete broke through the clear box and suffocated him.

Shimada has passed away
I am sad to report that Haruo Shimada has passed away at age 81.
Not only was he, as a magician/performer, a consummate professional but he was also a very nice man.
I had the privilege and pleasure of meeting him in the seventies and he was very kind to me and I never forgot that.
RIP Mr. Shimada

So many are distracted with all of this real or not real signature stuff that you missed the flash sale Amazon had offering the book for $20.
No signature of any kind and no Orson Welles section. Just a great low price!

No disappointment with this beautiful release! Just as shown in the ad. Big, bold, and top quality. And oh…much care was taken to protect it during transit so it would arrive in pristine condition. Between this and the Copperfield book, the fall season has been kind in its book offerings to us magic...

Maybe Dick will come on here and let us know if he was involved and if not, why not. I happen to be a fan of Conjuring Arts and stand by them. They produce some important printed matter and have an excellent track record as far as I know.
Very much looking forward to this new book. A very pleasant surprise!

Chances are, what you got for $15 is a cheap inferior unauthorized copy of the real thing. Or, maybe you found a used and possibly incomplete real one.
