Dai Vernon liked David Roth, that's good enough for me. I think Roth is cool. And he's pretty good with those coins. :)

Jeff, great point. If Brosnan played Bond the way he played his character in The Fourth Protocol then he'd be much closer to the "real" Bond. But what audience wants to see that? We want explosions and cars and action and stupid lines. By the way, I agree with Mark Ennis about Ricky Jay.

Harold, it sounds to me like ALL of your magic is good, since you constantly get requests to do more. And I still think it's up to the magician to say "when," in those social situations. I wasn't kidding in my first post, when I said to do one more and then say "ok, that's it for now....

Very well put, Bill. I agree, it is important to bring something of yourself to whatever you do. I do a coin assembly with ideas I learned from David Roth and Paul Cummins. I call it "Chicago Matrix," just to call it something, but I would never claim it was "original" with me. N...

I'll have to read that Peter Samuelson piece. If that's the case, then I have come up with quite a bit of stuff. The comparison to musical notes is a good one...but some composers have sued others for "stealing" melodies. :p

My thoughts, for what they are worth, and most likely nothing---the "take" hand--for me the right hand---should be very convincing. The audience should believe the coin was "in" that hand, then it is gone..then not in the left hand, then they don't know what to think...if the aud...
