Re: Macdonalds Aces
How do we really know that Hofzinser was the true creator of an ace assembly routine using double face cards? I guess the spirit of Ottokar Fischer will be upset with me for saying this, but it is entirely likely that other magicians were using similar concepts with cards well before Hofzinser. We c...

Hi Matthew: I picked up a copy last night from Byron Walker and then started to dig in immediately. Indeed, it is a fantastic combination of effect description, history and anecdotes about the life ...

I enjoyed and learned from the above article written by Peter McCabe on page 29 of the new October Genii. Peter's article is funny and, most importantly, gives excellent suggestions on how to better handle spectators so that they will like you and also provide a lead-in to your next routine. Please ...

I am with Jim Maloney on this one. From a business perspective, over market saturation is potentially annoyin...

I think $25 to $35 would be about right and what a neat idea Chris. However, there is nothing like the experience, the smell and feel of reading a real copy of The Sphinx. The ones I have seen from the 30's and 40's were selling for about $4 to $5 a piece and were well worth the investment especiall...

I have personally handled the Riser/Loomis Mini-Chop Cups as well as watched Dennis' fun and magical routine. Dennis' routine is a real killer in that it ends with a truly smash climax, is doable with reasonable practice/thinking and is perfect for strolling/walk-around. Jim Riser's cup is superbly ...

I use the Roger Klause routine which is one part of a multi-phase routine titled The Operator in his book In Concert.
