Re: Question for the Die-Hard Tricksters ...
Thanks for the response Dale. Interesting! Were you thinking about only the bound volumes, or were these tidbits also in the original course (sorry, I sold my set of Tarbell years ago to fund college tuition)? Does each volume have such info, or are there particular volumes you have in mind? To give...

Question for the Die-Hard Tricksters ...
I purchased Juan Tamariz's Mnemonica today, not for the tricks but for the bibliography with commentary in the back (Mr. Tamariz deserves credit for acknowledging his roots for the routines, etc. in the book). With all the buzz going on about this book, I'd hazard a guess that this little bibliograp...

Trevor Hall's 1956 Bibliography - RARE!
This is a long shot, but do any of you own one of the six copies of the 1956 imprint of Trevor Hall's bibliography? (see his OLD CONJURING BOOKS for a description of how this rare imprint came into being). Proving that lightning strikes twice, I've owned - believe it or not - two copies, one Hall's ...

Thank you, Jim. I have ordered some things from Michael, but have found his prices for old book catalogs to be beyond my means. They're nice to have as reference sources, but not that nice! All this is surprising because I usually find Michael to be very fair with his prices overall. By the way, on ...

This is a fun topic for a bibliophile... Chris W. has hit on the core of the question if one wants to estimate the number of books. Let's assume a "book" means a book in English primarily devoted to magic, be it for us magi or the general public, be it hardbound or softbound. Let's also as...
