Some years ago, I thought about applying to join the Mystic Seven, but Dewsbury was a bit of trek, so I didn’t bother.
I am, however, a founder member of the Silent Several. Membership is restricted and by and large we tend to keep quiet about it.

Must be me, it usually is, but I thought the card spring comment was amusing.
In my experience, which is not vast, jokes are usually a little bit silly. And often don't make much sense if they're analysed. ;)

Although very much a non-mathematician, I enjoyed this. However, trivia-buff that I am, I wonder where the Waddingtons cards came from. And who the card-spreader was.
