Re: Gemini Twins

I have always used the left second finger to slightly buckle the bottom card card of the packet, to disengage it, prior to pushing it out to align with the top card. At that point, a very light touch is all that is required.

Hope this helps.

Hello Stefano,

I have very pleasant memories of Mr. Stencel. I remember meeting him at a F.F.F.F. Convention, and Richard asking him to show me Stencel's Aces. My chin hurt for a week after bouncing off the table. He was kind enough to share his method with me, prior to it being published in Richard's Almanac, and...

I was at a Martial Arts Demo at Madison Square Garden many years ago where a gentleman named Ralf, or maybe Rudy Bialla did the bullet catch with stainless steal teeth. Seems he was wounded several times. Several? Wouldn't once be enough?

Hello David...

Would you mind very much providing a reference to the Marlo/Benzais Poker Deal? I don't remember coming across it before, but I don't have ALL of Marlo's material. I do have the Benzais book, and I don't remember it appearing there.

Alex Elmsley's Just Lucky shuffle system (The Collected Works of Alex Elmsley, Stephen Minch, 1991, page 391) has a lot going for it, if you want to cull and stack four of a kind for a four or five handed deal, with three or four riffle shuffles. The description in the book is for a four handed deal...

If I may add one more thing to all of the wonderful advice you have received so far... Don't worry about speed. Start working in slow motion, and concentrate on the technical aspects only. Work on making the culling action soft, smooth and deceptive. As you start to develop the muscle memory, and a ...

Another thing that will help is to use the thumbnail, instead of the pad of the thumb as it slides across the face of the card(s). It reduces the friction, and helps avoid the dreaded premature separation.
