Doug, you were NOT exaggerating. At least Jesse was self-effacingly funny while he not only stumbled and performed poorly but also while he had to put up with Letterman at his embarrassingly worst: http://www.cbs.com/shows/late_show/video/q9mr6Wma501oNyg5reVQg_CNbN9ROLRP/david-letterman-jesse-eisenb...

That's a Rick Johnsson routine which he published in The Linking Ring in the mid-'80s. Someone with access to the LR run (you?) should be able to look that up. - Steve H PS: I looked it up in my old scripting book and I'd written "The Eyes Have It", so I assume that was Rick's title. Unfor...

The one a lot of guys liked, including Richard Osterlind, is called "Twins". I don't yet own it but it's on my list. I'm also interested in "Musical Influences".

I think that MM is trying to say, somewhat confusingly, is that he doesn't want to just present tricks but, rather, effectively designed miracles ala Mr. Berglas. "Captain" Strother Martin said it all: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://tinyurl.com/MManchester">http://tinyurl.com/M...
