Re: Rising Cards
I received my package today and I am very happy with the quality of the prop and for me, the method is delightful. I usually prefer mechanical devices to electronic methods. This seems surefire. There is no thread to break, no batteries or circuits to worry about. It is a very well made prop and wit...

This is interesting but it isn't palindromic. The lines are read in reverse order but not in reverse.

There is something refreshingly honest about a character that isn't concerned with pleasing others. Selfishness, arrogance and belligerence can all be endearing since it is part of being human and it's somewhat taboo. W.C. Fields, Archie Bunker, Al Bundy, and Jackie Gleason (to the moon!!!) were all...

A tip I used when learning the classic force was to ask the spectator to touch a card (instead of pick a card). This allows you use an out, such as an outjog, strip out and double turnover, if you miss the force.

Thanks Tom,
I wish I'd known but the ebay auction just ended and I won it for $184.50. If he had contacted me, I would have paid $200. I'll let you know if he doesn't finish the transaction.

That's the name of a character in a play who also has denial issues.
The "should be" line is a reference to Lenny Bruce who did not write that play.

In 1981, I spent a month (it felt like a year) traveling with Circus Vargas. I worked inside the tent so I saw every show. By the end of that month, I knew every act. I knew the introduction to each act verbatim. The tigers were kept in very small cages with just enough room for them to stand up and...
