Re: "Completely Zapped"

In response to some of the questions I have received: FAN-2-C is a simple way to perform the effect known as "Zapped". It can look EXACTLY like zapped - it can be done in your hands or the spectator's. it can be done on the table. I have ways to do it with one hand - with cover and without...

Re: "Completely Zapped"

I spoke to Brent at the Magic Apple today and he was very reasonable. He has agreed not to release this. "Fan-2-C" was first sold at FISM in Holland and has been available from me personally at lectures and conventions ever since. The product being considered by The Magic Apple was exactly...

Re: Mondo Magic -Episode two

As part of the production team, I helped shoot all six episodes (I was much more involved in the last three - long story). The Church trick was the worst cut we took that day - the idea of doing Gymnastic Aces in a Church was much more interesting to the other people we used and the reactions to the...

I finally got through to Asher. Naturally, he's not pleased. I suggest you go to Lee's site and compare his video of the Twist to the Magic Makers rip-off. Not only has he stolen Lee's trick, he's obviously copied the online demo! Here's the link: www.leeasher.com/watchmymagic.htm Now they've taken ...

Ghost Kings?

I just saw an online demo for something called Ghost Kings.

It is, in fact, Lee Asher's Twist - move for move (except for the obvious lack of skill).

If anyone has seen this thing, I'd love to hear if it even credits Lee.

Re: SHADE Release

Regarding the deck switch I use in Shade: This is indeed a version of a switch from the Forte tapes. The move looks great but is designed to mimic a moment from live play. Most good deck switches fit perfectly into the game they are designed for. This often makes them less useful for magic purposes....

Re: SHADE Release

The poker change is indeed Bob Koch's effect which I have always known as Zapped. During the shoot I developed my own handling in case the cards I ordered did not arrive. It looks just like Zapped but ends clean (and they really want to see those cards!) it is also easier to set up in front of the a...

European rights were sold to a company called Cobalt who have since gone under. Word is that UK distribution is still possible but I've heard nothing solid. The pirate version being sold in the UK (and probably elsewhere) is NOT the final version of the film. Damian's version festures more a more ap...

Re: Small Brief Seconds

I have seen examples of the punch being used for the game of Tonk (definitely a black game, as BB puts it). The cards were punched in an interesting fashion (without the use of a device) and were used mostly for information to aide in deciding whether or not to roll a hand. Seconds were also used bu...

I've seen all the God of Gambler films and I think the original is definitely the best. I love the dice stacking scene that opens the movie! DKJones is correct when he says I use the blindfold idea to "accidentally" shuffle the deck face up/face down though I have no idea if this idea started with me. I can tell you that the audience simply gasps as you shuffle those cards. This is also a very good use of Daryl's cutting sequen...
