Harry Anderson

I just read a great little interview with Harry Anderson in Judd Apatow's new book, "Sick In The Head." It was conducted in 1983, a month before Night Court premiered, and it contains a shocking fact about his personal life.

Will Harry Anderson be returning to the pages of Genii?

Re: A Thought To Help Complicate Location of Internet Exposu

Is it really a problem with someone googling for information? I know plenty of people who are just one DVD from being laypeople themselves, who gladly drive cross-country to see a bunch of magicians in person and hand them wads of bills. It is a problem if there becomes more of those? Apparently it...

if all the spectator cares about is the secret, they WERE the victim of a boring and uninteresting performance. It's unwise of you to presume to know what the best experience is for a spectator of magic. There are many different reactions to a performance, all of them valid. For example, some will ...

There's nothing wrong with a spectator wondering, "How was that done?" If they continue wondering after the performance, all the better. And if they feel the need to scratch that itch and go Googling, so be it. You should feel flattered. When a spectator doesn't care about the secret becau...

So I say we do everything we can - even if it's something as small as what I've posted here - to not help them to help themselves to it. As an example of how weird his premise is for this video, look at Sankey's discussion of his Rising Cards. He mentions that there are two ways to do the trick - with a thread, or a mechanical pack. Then he reveals that he used a third method, the old hole-in-the-back-of-the-card-case method. He said...

Finally, and I think most telling of all, is the fact that Penn couldn't even remember Sankey's act or his name, such was the (lack of) impression it left upon him.
