According to my cable guide, there is a show called "Master of Illusion" on tonight at 8 pm on the CW. It's about Albert Whitlock, creator of movie special effects. But Comcast has been wrong before.

Premiere is at 10 pm on BBC America - also at that time, the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award is on TBS - the award was presented to Steve Martin. It will be repeated at 11:30 (TBS), and on TCM 8 pm July 30.

There's a brief recap today on TCM - running between films - showing moments from the TCM Festival. In it we see about 1.3 seconds of Dorothy and Dick onstage as Dorothy performs a straitjacket escape while Dick checks her time with a stopwatch.

The cutting - interrupting - was awful. When the show originally aired on BBC America it was not cut that way. It had to be cut for syndicated TV because that segment was longer than the average segment. Commercials rule. I doubt Penn & Teller would have approved. I don't recall David Copperfiel...

Penn & Teller were first off-Broadway at the Westside Arts Theater (in the basement, as I recall) then later on Broadway in the Ritz Theater.

(And on an extremely self-aggrandizing note, I made my Broadway debut onstage with them at the Ritz - as a spectator.)
