Source for this magic quote?

Does anyone know where the quote "If you cannot hide it, paint it red" came from?

I am assuming it is a magic quote. But maybe it came over from somewhere else?

Conflict in Magic?

What do people mean whey talk about creating conflict in magic for dramatical purposes? I will give my analysis so that others who know more than me can see if I am on the right track. Drama requires action. The action has to be motivated by somebody wanting something. Wanting something is the sourc...

But there may be more stuff in there as well. Perhaps some of it is related to the Centre Tear? I had no ide...

Here are some thoughts from the creators of South Park (Matt Stone and Trey Parker) that touch on the same ideas expressed in the David Ben essay.

I used to have a copy of the David Ben book. But cannot find it now.

I have been looking online for another copy.

No success so far.

Can anyone sell me a copy? I know it is a rare book these days, so name a suitable price.

The Tragic Rhythm - David Ben

There is a brilliant essay by David Ben in Scripting Magic - Volume Two (written by Pete McCabe) called An Organic Spiral Up. I have spent a few weeks digesting it and that has in turn inspired me to write an essay. So apologies for the lengthy post below. I just wanted to provide some notes that ar...

For most of human history women were seen as the property of men. They were owned by their father. Who then chose who they married. And then they were passed on to be owned by the husband.
