Re: Aspergers and Magic?

I have done some more research. I don't think I have Asperger's syndrome. I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). And I just assumed that in the past you had Autism & Asperger's syndrome as two separate categories. But now they have been combined into the same category. That is only...

The guy doing the card trick in the link I provided looks like Al Pacino.

Sounds great. Thanks for that Matthew! I am good friends with the actor Al Pacino. Not many people know he is interested in card tricks involving pool tables as well. Here is his take on Paul Harris's Flap Jacks routine which also makes use of a pool table. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeJzt4UBfkk

It seems Albert Camus was actually the first to describe a character displaying what would later become known as Asperger's syndrome in his novel The Stranger (which was based on a friend of his). You can read more about that here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5903843/ One movie char...

Magic, Typewriters & Classical Music

I always felt magic was a celebration of ingenuity. With that in mind I am always on the lookout for other charming examples of ingenuity that reflect some of the warmth I feel towards magic. A good example of this kind of silly ingenuity is the Typerwriter song by Leroy Anderson. It is a piece of l...

I just wanted to mention that Stage Shout by Roy Walton has a similar structure. It is the opening trick in The Complete Walton - Volume 1.

This is a brilliant article about Aspergers syndrome. It is too good not to share. It takes a look at the rise of Aspergers syndrome from a fairly skeptical point of view.
