Guest Funny you should mention John Swink. I also bought one of his cases. The case was beautifully hand tooled with a Western motif. One of the finest props I've ever owned. He never told me it was Martin style reel. But I paid a whopping 50 bucks!

Re: Frank Shields Magic Bartender in the Bay area

The Pony Club was your typical neighborhood dive. It was unbelievable that you could walk in there and see such high caliber magic coming from a bartender. He was a big ham fisted guy who might have reminded you of Eddie Fechter. His super count routine was the best I've ever seen. From what I under...

Just like a magic prop the best is always more expensive. I recommend Solingen steel for all your manicure tools.A man should never paint his nails. A good buffer with buffing polish is all you need. You can check this out: http://www.zamberg.com/zb/nail-clippers-72l.ashx This is just one example.

Re: Manicures?

To me, a manicure is nothing more than a self indulgence compared to getting a shave in a barber shop. Magicians who invest in the proper tools never have to "get their nails done". These tools are higher priced but the investment will pay off.

Dustin, Card School by Peter Duffie has a routine called Stacking For Real. This includes the technique of adding a slug to the stack. A technique that has been in many publications. Nothing earth shattering. And I don't use a slop shuffle.

I will apologize for the "chill" remark. However, perhaps I did not make my self clear on the OP. I really liked the running cut to load the third Ace. A thing of beauty. If anyone has seen this in print, let me know.

Chris, thanks for the tips, however I do Darwin's routine. I liked RJ's because he only used three riffle shuffles to stack. I also liked the running cut to load the third Ace.
