Re: New Card Magic Book

I got my copy of Card Jones and its got some real gems and great uses of clever principles. Best of all none of the effects are real knuckle busters, so this is stuff you WILL use in performance. Plus when you consider that Ryan used to sell the 'Demolished Deck' for $25 and 'Card Jones' includes a ...

I think Bill's site is great. It's honest and to the point and makes up for many a misleading magic ad. Saying that Just Passin' Thru is 'the marconick dowel penetration, poorly recycled' is not exposing it, exposing it would have been to say 'its a pencil with a **** in it'. And just because the or...

Comp Cold is probably the best booklet by Knepper, I not sure if thats a complement, but compared to the rest of his overpriced junk the basic (but simple) idea it teaches can be used in cold reading.

If you really want to feel ripped off, he has other booklets that really are worthless tripe.

Yeah I wasn't too impressed by the '7 by' book either. I don't see how flipping over some double facers constitutes a 'new sleight' for a start, but compared to 'Stained Glass', the tricks in 7 by are gems.

I wouldn't say sorely over-rated, that's maybe a bit too strong, although it is raved about just a little too much. It's saving grace is that it has a couple of really great tricks that will fool lay people and magicians alike. The first being 'Ten in a row', in which you have a spectator move cards...
