Re: Question: Larry Jennings - Thoughts on Cards (Special Edition)

Richard Kaufman sir, wanted to ask about Larry Jennings "thought card to pocket" that was in his lecture notes I think you wrote. You know where I could get that? Will it be in the new book maybe or is there a way I could get a hold of one of them lecture notes somewhere? It would be cool ...

Re: Elmsley count with mechanics grip

Im changng my Elmsely up, even though I never had it quesioned by spectators, to the way Jennings did his. When he did it, it looks like he's taking the pack into his right and then counting them into his left. But the first two or three steps, from the transfer to the first count, he does it almost...

All this really doesn't matter to nonmagicians. Really magic is magic to them. They really dont care how a show is strung together they just wanna see some magic, simple or elaborate.

Re: Elmsley count with mechanics grip

Ok Mr. Biros descritption sounds about right. I just watched my "Thoughts on Cards" videos and watched Jennings twist the aces. He starts from the left. It looks like he's transfering the pack to the right to count them into his left but in the act leaves a card behind. It looks totaly nat...

I see what your taking about I just saw people on MVD start with the packet from the left and leaving the first card behind on the first count then countinuing with the count. I learned the count from Daryl (not in person lol) starting everything on one side and counting.

I hope he gets his project going. That would be cool to watch magicians perform every night. A show that follows a magician aound the country or on cruise ships, like David Regal or Josh Jay, would be cool. Sidartha was a good read by the way.

Quadra flex mismade bill floored me too. Beacaue I had never seen a mismade bill before and the shop owner was demeonsrating the trick. It just goes to show that you need to build up a rep before doing something that would other wise be obvious to someone.
