Re: Blackpool updates

I agree, the video updates are pretty bad. Speaking from experience -- although not in the field of magic -- it's really hard to blog while attending events. Days are long, wi-fi is often bad, often you decide to wait until you get back to the hotel... and then you do, and you've had a few drinks an...

Re: The Digital Version of Genii's March Issue is Now Live Online

Hi Bob, Thanks so much -- yes, I was using the switch to lock the screen on my iPad, as I always do. Even toggled off the sound didn't play. But, when I did what you suggested, which was to designate the switch as the mute button and then unlock it, it did work. Strange, because I've played many Gen...

I agree that David's apology was evasive. But the apologies may have been constricted for legal reasons. I wouldn't be surprised if they had legal advice to avoid admitting participating in an illegal act on a public internet forum.

Re: The Deal of the Century? Tarbell Course for £5!

I bought it. It's the 60 lessons, not the eight volumes. And the ebook production is pretty poor. For one, the table of contents isn't clickable -- i.e., it's just a listing of what's upcoming with no page numbers. So, it's near useless. And it doesn't look like it was specifically laid out for the ...

For young magicians trying to figure out how to move into performing, I thought Rudy Coby's lecture was pretty good. As for the sync issue, it was there for me but pretty minor. Like maybe a half a second. I got used to it.

Looking forward to this. Watched the live test stream today. David Berglas tipped that his presentation would be two thought of card methods from a fan and a discussion of magician's choice.

For whatever reason they don't seem to have hyped it as much this year, but the lineup is pretty great.
